The Nevada Assembly unanimously passed a bill to make public the names of marijuana company owners.
KNPR reported the bill will return to the state Senate, which will need to approve an amendment before it can head to the desk of Gov. Steve Sisolak, who is expected to sign it into law.
Senate Bill 32 would change existing law to make public the names of marijuana business owners and their companies as well as license applicants.
The issue came to light at the end of 2018, when the state awarded most of the 61 provisional recreational marijuana licenses to only a few applicants without disclosing the winners’ names.
